If the mechanic said he needs to replace my ball joints, how many ball joints is

there on a 03 dodge stratus? Also, how many upper and lower control arms are there?
 
Apparently from my parts list your car has two upper and two lower ball joints.

Two ball joints per side, one upper and one lower. I've read your other notes and according to my listings they are replaceable. Someone in your shop of choice is too darn lazy to not press these joints out of the control arm!

Maybe they don't have the necessary press ring kit to get them out.
 
Im not looking at the car but i think it has struts and not ball joints for the front suspension system. Ask around---this guy may be nuts.
