If the government "really" wanted to help the environment?

Why don't they spend trillions of dollars on solar panels for every home and business in America?

Take everything off of the grid, except the essentials.

I MEAN, THAT IS, CONSIDERING "THEY" ARE IN CHARGE........!?!?!?!?!?!?

one word kickbacks as long as these politicians are getting kickbacks from these "corporations" they will continue to turn down the bills which will help our enviorment

Because the amount of electrical energy created would not be sufficient.

Perhaps if they spent a small fraction of that to extinguish one of the many underground coal mine fires that are pumping CO2 into the air at a ridiculous rate there would be more of an impact on the environment.

How about spending a small portion of that to build and operate some new, state of the art nuclear reactors. Iran has the right to them, why not the US?

Maybe if they spent that money on retrofitting existing dams and water control facilities with hydroelectric generation capacity. No impact to the environment because the dam is already there.

because its trillions of dollars!!!

well there is a lot they could do which doesnt cost a lot of money and they still dont consider it.
