If the divorce decree states the car is yours, is it enough if the car is in both names?

My little brother wrecked and totaled my car. The car is in my ex-husband and my name and the car is paid off. The car was awarded to me in the divorce decree and Statefarm has to make sure that it is legal to give me the full settlement. This is in Georgia, by the way. I know that he had to sign off on it, but he lives in Virginia somewhere and we could never get together to get that done, which I was fine with since I never want to see him again. Will he get some of the settlement? The judge told me that the car was mine, so is he a factor?

No, he won't get anything. If the judge has already decided and signed the papers he will have to sign off his rights to the car and everything will go to you. It doesn't matter that the car was wrecked, he still has no rights to the insurance money.
