If the Arab world wasn’t so intellectually isolated, would they progress out of
the Middle Ages? I just heard an interesting fact; apparently Spain translates more foreign works into Spanish in one year than the entire Arab world has translated into Arabic since the 9th century. Isn’t this amazing? That’s nearly 2000 years of isolation! Those crazy Muslims have almost completely isolated themselves from the outside world and have outlawed any foreign literature, art, science, movies etc. It’s no wonder their society is primitive, barbaric and backwards, right?
