What a politician promises he/she will do before they are elected / re-elected is not always what they end up doing after they are elected, particularly when term limits prevent them from further re-election after the term before them.
So knowing what you know about President Obama's words and behaviors to date over his first term in office, the question becomes one of trust going forward for you as a voter. Specifically, if you are a business owner (small, medium, or large) and you have the discretionary power to begin hiring new employees but have held back due to concern over current or future legislation from the Obama administration, would you change course and start hiring if President Obama held out various promises to modify or even eliminate one or more of his job-killing policies [e.g. tax the "rich" making more than $250,000 per year (most small business owners), Obamacare, increase regulation on businesses to supposedly protect the middle class, etc.].
Or will it only take a complete change of Presidents before you as a business owner regain enough faith in government to start hiring or re-hiring, assuming the new President's policies are pro-business (e.g. lower taxes, tax code reform, less regulation, etc.)
