changing the Constitution...? Without asking you, assuming (as they did with the bailout loan) that you don't know what is good for you would you protest, vote them out of office, write them angry letters? I would like to hear from both sides on this.

Just to be clear, the bailout loan is not a law, nor did it change the Constitution. Also, it required approval of both Democrats and Republicans (yes, Dems control the House, but at the moment, Republicans control the Senate). The President and Congress do not have to "ask you" before creating or approving bills. These politicians are voted into office and thus are expected to vote in a way that represents the people of their districts.

That said, if the people I vote for do not seem to be voting in a way that represents me, yes, I will write letters or protest to express my feelings, and yes, I work to remove them from office. We are lucky to have the opportunity and the freedom to be able to express ourselves in this way.

They will also have a Supreme Court majority, so who will enforce the American citizens' constitutional rights? That's the scary reality under an Obama presidency.

When do they ever ask you? The democrats are getting ready for a stimlus package in the form of money for roads and bridges which will also cost states matching liabilities which if you own property will make your taxes go up as well as state income taxes.
