So, I have had my laptop for a couple of years now and have noticed within the past year that my laptop's battery has not been holding a charge for as long as it once used to. Then a few days ago my laptop refused to power on at all even though it was plugged in. No lights lit up anywhere on my laptop at all to even recognize there was a power source (I verified it was plugged in properly). My question is... if the battery is no longer good and I need a new one in order to hold a charge, can't I still power on the laptop by it being directly plugged in?
If my laptop battery is bad does that mean I can't power my laptop by my power cable?
