My husband's childhood best friend just moved to our city. He doesn't have a driver's license because he had speeding tickets that he didn't pay, and they took his license away. He wants my husband to put his name on the title to a car for him (after he saves the money to get one). I'm wondering, if my husband does this, that would mean he has to get the insurance in his name as well, right? And then if his best friend gets pulled over, what happens? Would it just make the insurance rate go up? And would it affect our insurance that we have on our car too?
