if my flash drive is broken did i lose all my information?

it is really a toss up. if you damaged any components then everything is deleted and the drive isnt good for anything anymore. however, it could just be the outside casing that is broken. in which case no harm done. the only way to check is to plug it in to a computer and see. good luck
 
Unfortunately yes you did. Hard drives can sometimes be recovered but flash drives are usually dead. It's too late now but remember in future that all important data should have at least one preferably two back up copies.
