If my father-in-law divorces his wife, is she entitles to half his pension?

He get a private pension form his work and is 61 years old. They have been separated for 5 years and live in Scotland

Its a complete guess, but if its an actual pension and not just savings for a pension I'd say no

I think she is entitled because I believe that the deductions that were done by the company were also influenced by your father-in-law's family which includes his wife as well. if it was a pension from government, she wouldn't be entitled.

But let the old man see his legal advisor.
