...medications? i had insomnia for about 6 months, and when i finally went to the doctor, he didnt prescribe me anything for it.
i had a legitimate problem sleeping and i wasnt faking for bringing it on myself by sleeping in or eating certain foods or anything.
my dad, (not a drug user) gave me ambien he got prescribed when our family was going on a trip to hawaii (6 hour flight) for a couple nights, and i since then have been sleeping much better
did the doctor not prescribe me anything because of my family history
grandma abused pills and was an alcoholic
grandpa smoked
other grandma smoked, may of drank
other grandpa former alcoholic
uncle alcoholic
other uncle died of heroin overdose
there are others but not that i am certain of
i was fifteen and the doctor is a family friend

That's why you LIE about things like that in family history. If you break your arm and tell them "my family has drug abuse problems" you'll get tylenol instead of Lortab for pain. There's a huge stigma against drug and alcohol problems, even if you're just associated with it and not a user yourself.
