If McCain gets elected, US will continue to fail

So you're saying that in the 8 years of cleaning up Clinton's mess that he managed to just make it a hell of a lot worse?

Congress needs to change just as much as anything too. Screw the liberals and screw republicans... that's the only real answer.

as much as i hate to do this, it's true, i agree with you. just screw politics in general. are you telling me that with over 300 million people in the u.s., these two are the best we can come up with? are you kidding me? one with no experience and another that got turned down for 3 previous nominations, 2 to gwb...

i'm a hardcore republican and even i'm thinking of voting for obama but in all honesty, i would rather not vote period than to vote for him.

since the dems took over congress, they haven't done crap! nothing.

Economics offers no simple truth like what you're implying. How much greater of a % of jobs were created during Bush's years of tax cuts versus Clinton's administration? The danger of right-wing economic mantra is it oversimplifies economics.

Many of these tax cuts just make the rich richer, and if you assume that rich people just take their money and "create jobs" out of the goodness of their hearts, or somehow re-invest that in the economy , you don't understand the lifestyle of the truly wealthy. Most of their money stays in their hands, and goes nowhere. If anywhere, it's bled out of the country into offshore bank accounts or spent on luxury goods produced in Europe.

I think we should keep taxes low for small-businesses, but we have to keep things balanced. If you own a business, and have no customers cuz everyone's broke, what good is your business now?

How is 75k a year wealthy? And no, most wealthy don't put their money into offshore accounts, they keep their money in hedge funds.

first of all im a small business owner suffering through hard time lately most of my business comes from middle-lower class customers. Everyone knows the rich do not spend as much on average as the middle/lower class.
Your statement of tax the hell out of people was plain stupid unless you are making over 250k

Where are you getting that nugget? Percentage of their income? sure they have more of it so they spend less of it. But $$ wise, they spend more. Also, if you take a look, wealthy spending has not decreased where other spending has.

Obama will be raising taxes on household incomes of 75 and up. A married couple each making $18/hr or higher will be getting taxed more. Yeah, sure is wealthy
