If Jesus isn't real, how is it that Christians are so sensitive to the Spirit?

I was reading a Yahoo article http://travel.yahoo.com/p-interests-37497479 about the world's most unique travel destinations, when the atheist morality-hating writer decided to mention so-called "evolutionary developments" in Madagascar. RIGHT when I read the word "evolution" my spiritual sense began tingling- in my mind I read "EVILution".. that's what Pastor John told me it is. This never happens when I read the Left Behind series, Answers in Genesis, or Flintstones.
How is it that I so effectively discern the truth, if it's not Jesus opening my eyes?
