If iPhone 3G works with orange/vodafone/o2 sim cards, will it work with three?

Ive got an iPhone 3G that's meant to be unlocked, it works fine with orange/vodafone/o2 sim cards, but im selling it and he wants to know if it will work with 3, i think 3 is a bit different to all the other networks? or is it a case of if its unlocked then it will, simple as that? UK Only please.
