I graduated from HS in June but my grades were pretty crappy throughout my HS career. My hopes are to transfer to a University in Virginia in Fall of 2011, I was looking at George Mason University's transfer rules and they were saying unless I had 30 verified transferable credit hours, I would need to submit my HS transcript in as well as my transcript of the 2 semesters I spent at the community college. To my luck...i had to take a stupid pre-requisite course that doesn't transfer over to Mason, so now I am going to finish my 2 semesters with only 26 transferable credits so I have to submit my HS transcript with my application. If I was to get like a 3.5 or up on my community college transcript but my HS transcript was really bad, like 1.8 or something, do you think that would show the University I am trying to transfer to that I have gotten it together and I have changed my ways? Or do you think it will work against me and they will want to see more stability? I also have some relatives that attend GMason so maybe this will help me too?
Anyone been in my boat before?
