If I would want to write a book using the computer, how would I put it together?

Also, where can I find some small paper that is about 10 cm wide and 15 cm in height?
I am thinking of writing a book and would like to give it a try, as I'm best at writing on the keyboard (or a writing machine) I would like to hear people's advice on this, preferably those who know more about than I do.
