Of around 50 homes. Completely off-grid, no new fangled solar panels. Just houses with basic wood fire/stove, water heated the same way. A communal wheat field and vegetable garden, a couple of cows and chickens. Everyone would do their bit, gardening, foraging for wood etc. If everything was provided for you so you never had to go to work?

Would you want to live there?
Lily, why do you assume I'm middle class?

The people in 50 homes can live off a couple cows and chickens, a single wheat field and vegetable garden and foraging for wood??????
You haven't done any planning or arithmetic have you???

You've got a GOOD dream for a much better way of life, so go for it!
I am sure there will be a queue...
and some people who'll argue against it cos it might seem a bit scary but reassure them they'll still be able to get cornflakes and they'll soon come around.

Ah yes i would! I was just talking to my mom about this the other day saying if someone did this it would be so freaking cool:)

you'd be a communist. So, who would get the biggest chunk of the chicken or seconds on bread. Would you install mandated catalytic converters on each chimney and have annual tests performed. What else would you use to trade with, like how would you get repairs on your homes.

All the people that posted yes on here wouldn't last a month. This whole eperiment was done many times. David Coresh in Waco Texas, Jim Jones Guyana. The hippies in the 60's to 70's tried. It's a wonderful dream, but you have to be born and raised in such a lifesytle to even have a chance. These systems tend to be built and run for a profit by a few "leaders" than take control of people.

Want a good book on this read "Therapy gone made" A true story abount Richard Corrier that takes place in Califoria.

gosh yes please. do you have planning permission? i hear lammas had another setback lately and are set to appeal for the third time. when will the planners get the message?
