If I want to open a restaurant, what should I major in?

I'm taking general ed at the time working on my AA.

What are some possible majors that would help out if I were planning on opening a restauraunt in future?
 
Starvation......99% of all new restaurants fail.........you cannot compete with the big boys.........the economy is in the toilet........people don't have money to support your restaurant........sorry.....
 
Woah dude. Don't be so pessimistic. The "big boys" all started off somewhere. Believe in yourself. As to you, Ellen I would recommend double majoring in business admin and culinary arts. It is true that opening a restaurant if difficult, however, it is possible. Be careful fiscially. Pinch every penny. Dream big. Network. Pray. Start small. Work hard. Believe in yourself.
