...as the author at the end? For example "blah blah blah" (Thomas Jefferson) or "Blah Blah Blah" (websites author)
 
Don't quote the webpage or even trust it (the amount of misattribution on quotation websites is quite astonishing, and Jefferson is a particular magnet for fake quotes).

Track the quote to the actual Jefferson source using Google Books, and cite that source (or a reliable publication such as a scholarly biography that similarly identifies the source).

What is the quote, BTW?
