If I use makeup remover and astringent, do I still need to wash my face?

I shower in the mornings, so it makes it a little more difficult to wash my makeup and face off before bed. Is using makeup remover and astringent or another product as good or almost as good as washing my face? Obviously the makeup remover would get all the makeup off, then the astringent would get rid of any oils left.
