If I use hotspot shield in google chrome does it affect firefox too? or other browsers?

i used hotspot shield to protect me from hackers... I download it and installed it... But it only works for google chrome... thats ok... if I open firefox, will it show different IP when using chrome?

2) How can I use hotspot shield for both browsers? Will they have different IP?

Tnx pls help
