This is a serious ethical question. I want to know if this is right or wrong, and for what reasons.

To clarify a bit more: The patent will be on a specific type of transaction formula and listing formula. It only works with both formulas set in place, and as it's more or less a gimmick, the formula bred into the overall concept is what will go into patent. I've discussed it with people, it is possible. I just want to know why or why not it may be considered ethical/unethical.
