If I painted my wall black and left my black friend outside, how long would it take before he blends?

I want to leave him outside for a bit while I paint my wall black. I just was curious how long it would take before he'd be as black as the wall. He's light black. I figured I'd let him back in my house once he was black enough to blend in to the wall.
