I am planning on starting a small retail business, however wasn't sure if I had to start the business this year if I get the business license now. There is a tradeshow coming up next month, but requires you to show proof of business license to get in is the problem and I really would like to go as it will have meeting opps for wholesalers, etc. If, I don't have to start business this year, will there be anything to worry about having to do for tax filings next year???
If I obtain a business license this year, do I have to start business now?
