If I jump start my car, how long should I drive for so that the battery is

charged enough to restart it? So basically my dad left the keys in my car's ignition so that the battery drained out over the WHOLE weekend.
I don't have the facilities to charge the battery, so I'm hoping a jump start is sufficient.

If the car is ok after the jump start, I was wondering will the car charge itself ok after a 30 min journey, or will it die once I get to my destination and I'll have the same dead battery problem all over again?
