If I join the Army for 2 yrs, will the G.I Bill give me enough money for a good college?

I'm planning on joining the Army for college money but I don't know how much the G.I Bill can help me with. I would need them to pay for a good / decent college and housing in the school. Can the G.I Bill do that? Also is joining the Army at 17 a good way to start my "life"and help me get a good job for the future, I am pretty much by my own right now.
