If I hired a bike from a park and never returned it, what would happen?

Just curious. I know they take a form of ID off you, like a bank card, but that could be anyones.

I think this would be considered theft or a form of shoplifting. Since most parks have hidden video cameras, the police will end up at you door step withing a few days.
