IF I HAVE A SLIGHTLY HIGH THYROID PROBLEM, SHOULD I GET MEDICINE FOR IT?

My doctor told me I slightly have a high thyroid thing but she isnt doing anything about it, she just told me she'll recheck in 4 to 6 months. And i havent been feeling all that great these past days so do you think i need medicine for it, should i just go to the e.r. and get medicine for it?
