simcard in an iPhone - will it work? I have a crappy Samsung Impression and more than twice it's broken on me through no fault of my own. I'm having minor problems with it yet again - and this time they're telling me they won't replace it because somehow - the water damage indicator strips have turned red. Pretty sure if my phone had been submerged in that much water - it wouldn't work at all, but whatever.
Anyway, my question is this. The past two times they've replaced my phone - all I had to do was switch the sim card from my old phone into my new. No call - no transferring of anything. Nothing. Just switching the cards. I'm sick of dealing with AT&T regarding this phone - but I can't afford the cancellation fee AND signing up for a new service provider. If I purchase a new iPhone from a friend who doesn't want theirs - and I stick the SIM card in it, will it work?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
