If i have a new light in the bathroom. How do i cover the old cable?

We have had a switch insralled in our bathroom. We used to have a pull down cord from the ceiling. There is still cable coming from the old swith and I tested it. It is still live. We want to plaster over the old hole. What do i do with the cable?
