...party, what time should it start? Probably 2/3 of the guests are younger aged and will want to party later, than 11pm even, but many people say to eat early like 6ish. Eating around 6 means the party is over by 11pm. Why do you have to eat so early at a wedding? During the week and at restaurants I'd say the average time for me to eat is around 8:30pm

It's your wedding do what you want. If people are telling you that 6ish is the right time to eat. I suggest you have small sandwiches, or meat and cheese trays to tide people over that may be hungry. I have been to alot of weddings with the sandwich and trays. it works really well.

You want to cater to the people you are inviting, though. Alot of people will not eat late. You can always have an after party, my son did that. Just have someone host it at their house or go to a local club. Maybe make dinner about 7 and it evens out. It is your wedding day. Have a blast and bless you.

It depends on ceremony time and how formal it is. I would just say have dinner at 7 to 7:30 and that still gives plenty of time to dance
