if i have 16X8 rims now will it work if i get 16X9?

i just got brand new good year wrangler duratracs and i have my stock rims right now but i found some moto metal rims that will fit my truck can i go wider like this
STOCK RIMS= 16X8
MOTO METALS=16X9


my question is will my new tires fit on the moto metal rims? and i have 265/75r16 for tire size
