if i had sex right before my period can i still get pregnant?

ok so it was like 3 days before my period was due and i had sex with this guy...he didn't use a condom, but he did pull out...i know that precum can still get you pregnant, but are the odds of that? is there an way that since i had sex that soon before, it could throw me off? the thing that i don't understand is the ovulation...i shouldn't be ovulating right before my period right? so i can't get pregnant? also i got mono right after that...is there any way that the strain on my body from that could delay it? i was freaking out and so i took a pregnancy test and it said negative but i still haven't had my period and it's been five days now...ive also been in a lot of bad situations lately and stuff and being afraid of being pregnant has made me stress out a lot...could that be the reason? i just need help!! do you think there is any way that i could be pregnant..i keep telling myself there is no way, because i wasn't ovulating but i really don't know...i am so nervous!!!

No, it is very unlikely that you could get pregnant 3 days before your period. However, since you haven't yet gotten your period, it is possible that you are having a longer than usual cycle, and you could maybe not have ovulated yet...meaning 3 days before your period wasn't really 3 days before your period and you could have been ovulating.

That being said, I'm guessing your mono and/or the stress of being worried about being pregnant has delayed your period. Take a test again in a week, and if it is still negative, then you need to see your doc for a blood test.

Next time, just wear a condom and save yourself the headache.
