If I get married by the episcopal church, do i still have to get married by a judge?

the thing is that i have bad credit.. i was 18 with a credit card.. nothing good was bound to happen anyway my fiance has excellent credit and i dont want to ruin our chances of ver getting a home

what should we do??????????

Its like your asking two different questions. Answer 1. If you get married in a church you don't have to get married by a judge also. Just be sure to bring your marriage license on your wedding day because the pastor will have to sign it and mail it back to the courthouse so you can get your marriage certificate.
Answer 2. If you don't want to ruin your chances of getting a home you have two choices. One would be to have your fiance only put his name on all the legal documents associated with the home (I wouldn't reccommend this, just in case problems in the marriage arise). Or you could and SHOULD fix your credit before you get married. I understand you love him and want to be married sooner than later but you need to get your credit right first or make sure he's fully aware of your debts and what this means for your guys future because it will have an affect on major purchases.
