What should I use for garland & tinsel?

Shredded cheese seems most reasonable for tinsel.
and as for garland, you can use those little stringed weenies.

you could actually use the spam and let it harden into ornamental shapes and give a coating of some kind of natural preservative or spray and for garland, use the popcorn, and since you need color maybe use a icing for cookies on the spam after it hardens and also use some dried wild flowers as tinsel or garland.
