My photo editing software does not recognise NEF (RAW) files, so I would like to know if they will stay at the same quality if I convert them to TIFF (using the Nikon software). I want them to stay at this quality and not turn them into JPEG to edit them because I have heard that it compresses them and loses quality. Will TIFF compress the files and lose quality? (the nikon software can convert them to 16 or 8 bit)
