If I connect my jailbroken ipod to itunes, will it reset it to normal apple

settings and unjailbreak it? I have the old version of the ipod touch and i need the new update, but i dont want to ruin the jailbrokeness of it. any help?
 
no, apple doesn't have the right to do anything to your ipod without giving you the option. If you need the new update and want to keep your jailbroken stuff, you could wait for someone to release a jailbreak for the new updaate, update, and jailbreak, but all your jailbroken stuff will be deleted...
