whining elsewhere? todays unemployment is at a 26 year high.....1983. reagan was president.
righties claim reagan was still cleaning up carters mess to justify those unemployment rates. here's the question--------

why do you allow reagan 3+ years to repair the economy, but 6 months into obamas term you're already whining?

--I'll remind you the dems alone did not cause the nationwide housing collapse. so any effort to blame the dems for the mess obama inherited is baseless...... google "phil gramm" if you are this ignorant

now, take your petty whining and go home.

Because if anyone pays any attention to this administrations policies they will see that they will not reduce unemployment but will be a hindrance to it. The policies are not encouraging economic activity but stifling it. They are not speeding a recovery but slowing it.

The Federal Reserve is directly responsible for the current economic environment and the current administration wants to give them more power.

No, they will never stop whining.

Neither will the lefties.

Whoever happens to be in office at any given time will endure vicious criticism from the opposite side of the political aisle. Right-wingers are foaming at the mouth over Obama's changes, just as left-wingers p*ssed themselves every time Bush opened his mouth.

It has nothing at all to do with convictions or integrity; it's merely knee-jerk hatred for the other party.

Speaking of double standards where was your irritation with the Left's whining for the last 8 years? Be careful your hypocrisy is showing.

What Carter left Reagan is far different than what Bush left Obama!

Carter inherited a recession when taking office. First he tried to reduce unemployment by both increasing government spending and cutting taxes. HUM part of this sounds like Obama's plan! Skyrocketing inflation caused him to change his mind. He delayed tax cuts and
vetoed the spending programs. Carter then tried to ease inflation by reducing money supply and raising interest rates. All of his efforts proved to be unsuccessful. Inflation and interest rates soon reached their highest levels since World War II.

The rapid change in interest rates sowed the seeds of the savings and loan crisis (which Reagan had to fix). The stagnant growth of the economy (which causes unemployment), in combination with a high rate of inflation, is called stagflation, an unprecedented situation in American economics.

For more than 4 years the Democrats and main stream media have been trying to talk the country into a recession so that they could use it to gain back power. In April of 2008 unemployment was at 5.6% which is just a few points above statistical full employment!

Yes Obama would have been given a slight recession if the Democrats hadn't fanned the fires by coming up with a trumped up crisis and calling for TARP and thus once again putting party ahead of country.

There are two reasons that people expected this to be fixed already is because both Obama and the Democrat party said that if we did TARP and the so called Stimulus this would all be fixed quickly. Obama himself promised that if the so called stimulus were passed unemployment would cap out at 8% it is currently at 9.5% and even Obama is now saying it will go to 10%!

If you have the time we can also go into the growing list of Obama's broken campaign promises and lies!
