I need to change the drive letter to one of the external hard drives. But whenever I tried to change I get a message " Changing the driver letter of a volume might cause programs to no longer run." I do not understand what it means. This drive letter has changed automatically ( I do not know when), and I see the drive as a file icon in MY COMPUTER window. When I click to the file icon, all the files and folders are there but none of the emails messages are not opening. Only the word files are opening. So I need to change this file icon to hard drive icon. Or I need my computer to recognize this hard drive as a hard drive but not as a file. If the programs would not work if I change the drive letter, so what would be my option to make this drive work properly and open all files like I used to do. Can somebody help me with that? If I change the drive letter, would there be any problem to the volume to run?
