garden of an empty house? Next door to us is empty - we live in a mid terrace and the alley way behind leads to the rear of our houses and gardens.
When the house next door was cleared the other week I noticed this prowler in the garden next door going thorugh all the bins, rubbish and junk that had been thrown out. I was in the house on my own at the time with my three children so didn't go out and say anything to him.
This morning I have noticed him in there again - and i am concerned about this.
If i called the police would they do anything? or am i overeacting?
I know who this person is and where they live.

Unless the prowler is white, male, middle aged, Christian and working then the best you can hope for is a PCSO turning up 3 days after the incident to appease you with apologies, platitudes and make sure that it wasn't a rather vocal, feral Tabby that often gets mistaken for a prowler.

Tell them you are muslim and he questioned the sanctity and moral ethics of your religion in a polite manner. He will be doing a 5 stretch before you can say preaching religious hatred!
