in? (This will be long)plz help!? Ok, so at work we are kind of short staffed and for whatever reason they are taking forever to get mroe people. Though we are all working hard I'm the only one that is scheduled to work 11 days straight 6 of thoes days being 10 hour days! I had two in a row this week and have 4 in a row next week. Now my supervisor asked me if I could do it once this week. I said yes no problem...but when I came in the next day she asked me how I was doing. I said I'm in a good mood and she said good "How would you feel about working another 10 hour day just tommorow?" So I thought..ok its only 1 more day so I told her yes. Now she has made the schedule for next week and has me working 4 10 hour days straight! If I'm right you don't have to work more than 40 (48?) hours a week and I think it is sneaky how she didn't even ask if I was ok with this! Her reasoning was because noone else can close (because of whatever engagements) and because I can't open (Because I can't get in that early). I understand that but it is not my fault they are not hiring people! Ok so today I decided if they are not going to give me a day off between these 11 days, I'll take one. Plus I am sick and getting sicker from being exauhsted. I called off in more than enough hours than required. later that day my supervisor texted me saying "I know you are tired but can you at least come in and such and such time???" THen an hour later my MANAGER texted me saying how dissapointed she was in me. (Basically trying to guilt me into coming in). My question is. Is there some type of law stating that they are not allowed to text/call you when you are out sick? I think this is harassment. What do you guys think?!
And also I have near perfect attendance I've only called in sick twice in a year and I've only been with the company for a year!
Oh and at Moondogg..."No but I would like to be able to be sick without having my supervisors bothering me trying to tell me how bad I am when people call of all the time ME not being one"
