if i buy an unactivated tmobile SIM card off ebay how can i find out the phone number?

I lost my phone so im getting a new fone soon off ebay 2 and they dont come with SIM cards so how wud i find out da fone numba?
Okay so I'm buying a phone off e-bay. for security purposes, ppl keep the sim cards, so i need to buy one separately cuz i lost my fone.

Does that clear things up?
