If I buy an album on iTunes, and then torrent a lossless copy. It that still illegal?

When I am to lazy to go to the store I will sometimes torrent an album, and most of the time I then buy it on iTunes so I am supporting the artist. Is that still illegal to torrent it, even it I payed for it?
