if i buy a iphone right can i use the sidekick prepay plan with it?

okay so i know must of you know you can unlock an iphone and use a tmobile sim card with it. but if you do what plan do you use, and if I do it can i use my PRE PAY SIDEKICK plan with ? I already have a sidekick and Im thinking I want an iphone know but who really wants to pay that at&t bill. so if i buy an iphone can i \still use my pre pay plan with it? once its unlocked
