if i buy a game from an australian website will it work in U.S.?

im tempted to buy this new game called red dead redemption but im afraid that the bonus material wont be an add on right away or at all so im tempted to buy on a australian site where u get all three bonuses plus a soundtrack (whooppee) but im curious to know if itll work in U.S. i dont see why not but some games like dvds have a setting to em i forget the term so if anyone know please let me know before the deadline May 18th
