If I am using a wireless router where activity is monitered can they find out who I am?

I have visited sites which contain information about myself - like facebook- but aren't these sites secure? Like if they tried to find out who I am by clicking on the facebook sites would they be able to tell it is me that logged in? And is it legal to seek info like this by those means? Even if it a company network set up for employee personal use
