against adultery, you ask? And I answer you...once, there was such a law.
Folks voted to change it.
Once there was no such thing as "no fault divorce".
Folks voted to change it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know things weren't perfect back then...but there weren't so many kids growing up in single parent families. There weren't so many delinquent Dads not paying child support. There wasn't so much teenage pregnancy.
Do I think adultery should be illegal?
You bet I do. But people who disagreed with me thought differently.
Do I think there should be no-fault divorce?
No, I do not. But again, that law was changed at others' insistence.
Do I like the results?
No, I don't.
Do you?
So, again, if I vote because I honestly don't want to accept YOUR morality as my own, that is my right.
Isn't it??
And if the vote goes against me, is that "majority rule" or, as another poster put it, is that "mob rule"??
