use unsweetened shortcrust pastry for everything.
one thing people always say is you cannot use unsweetened pastry for sweet dishes but the reality is you can, and you should. sweetened pastry is more like shortbread than pastry anyway and provided you get the lard to butter ratio right, your unsweetened pastry will be fantastic.
remember to blind bake you pastry and then do a double egg wash to glaze the inside and seal any holes that might be there.

using shortcrust pastry? i was wondering can i make a big batch or shortcrust pastry as i`ll be making quiches at the same time, do i have to make 2 batches of pastry one sweet one savoury, and i have one recipe at home that for the bakewell tart calls for puff pastry,

when making the bakewell tart which pastry should i use shortcrust or puff pastry
