If I am getting two female betta fish, do I need a filter and pump?

Pretty much in the question it's self. Should I get a 5 gallon tank, and how much is it at PetSmart compared to Petco.???

Please reply, and thanks in advance.
Next time READ the question before answering. I know what I said, and thats Males who cant be together. Females on the other hand are okay.
