keeping the sun in place and assuming it retains its gravity.

I don't think that earth will disintegrate. Also the sun will not let the pieces (in case it disassembles) to leave the orbit but I am not sure..
Jupiter is a gas giant so what will happen to it? will it be similar to gasing out of our atmosphere, i.e. the whole planet will just diffuse into space. Then again the gases under the pull of sun should be revolving as their parent in the orbit.

Please find time to reply.
